A little bit of introduction: I'm a 20-something year old Catholic school teacher in the DC metro area. I'm a newlywed and new to teaching, although out of college by a ahem, few years. Several words that describe me on a daily basis (depending on which day you catch me): friendly, pushover, bossy, perfectionista, lazy, aspiring homemaker, crafty-crafting, trying. I hope to become a mother sometime in the next three years. I'm already starting to hear the tick-tock and babies everywhere are beginning to look adorable even when they are screaming in my ear in line at the grocery store. I like having a warm, cozy and welcoming home. This means that one of my greatest vices is those big jar candles.
My religion is very important to me. I teach in a Catholic school not for awesome pay but for the opportunity to share my faith with the next generation. I know that the Church is not everyone's cup of tea (more on tea later), but for me I love being able to pray with students when they have something a little too big for an elementary school student to deal with on their own. Plus, the mantra, "Live your life like Mary is watching," is a very effective tool in my classroom and my life.
I am completely addicted to HGTV. We don't have a place that we can alter (boo, apartments), but when the day comes that we're owners, I have a whole list of ideas. Well, I hope this helps to explain where I'm coming from a bit better. Thanks for reading!
