My Cup O Tea

Tea is one of my mini obsessions in life. We have an entire cabinet in our house dedicated to tea and coffee paraphernalia. DH (dear husband) is the coffee drinker, but I suspect that it's only for the caffeine jolt before work. I have several tea pots and many, many, many tea cups and mugs. If I am having a lazy weekend morning, there is a 98% chance that you will find me with an entire pot of tea just waiting to be sipped beside me.

At Christmas time, I have a particular tea that really hits the spot and this year I decided to stock up for the rest of the year. The name of this delicious tea is Christmas Morning and it is a Stash tea. On regular mornings I'm normally an Irish breakfast tea drinker because I think it has a slightly more mellow taste than English breakfast and if I'm in a hurry, I don't have to fuss with it as much. I'm not big on sugar or milk in my tea, but on a bad morning or if I'm sick, a dollop of honey is a blessing.

This Easter DH and I are headed to Dublin, Ireland for a few days. I'm most looking forward to the Guinness at the factory, but the next runner up is a cup of tea while I people watch. Here in America you just can't get a good cup of tea anywhere. They don't seem to understand that you don't want to wait 2 hours for your tea to cool down and they always try to push herbal teas on you. Nothing against herbal teas, but if I need a cup of tea, then I always want black tea.

Well, on that note, I'm off to make a pot!

  1. Hi! I have another commonality to add to our soul mate-ness. I used to live in Baltimore and I love being up in your neck of the woods :)
